Joe Biden expressed uncertainty this Friday about whether the November 5th presidential election will be peaceful, citing conspiracy theories spread by Donald Trump and his running mate, J.D. Vance.
«I am confident that the electoral process will be free and fair, but I’m not sure it will be peaceful,» said the president during a surprise appearance in the White House press room, where he answered several questions from journalists.
Biden criticized the statements of the former president and Republican candidate, who will face off against current Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic candidate. He also recalled Trump’s comments during the 2020 election, when «he didn’t accept the result, which was very dangerous.»
The president further pointed out that Vance «has not said he will accept the election results.»
